Jon has been a supplier and operator in the textile services industry with over 16 years in the market. He began his career as a territory representative for Kleen-Tex Industries, the La Grange, GA dust control product manufacturer. With a 13-state territory in the Western region of the country Jon developed many training programs and contests to help his customer base grow.
Today he is the service and business development director for New System Laundry, Portland, OR, a position he has held for eight years. Programs he has created for growing revenue through routes have achieved re-signing rates of customers to over 90% of all accounts under agreement; nearly 97% of total revenue. Jon’s winning campaigns have enabled New System’s customer service reps (CSRs) to sell an average of 50 mats each in a 6-week promotion. He has motivated all of his CSRs to average nearly $22 per week each in new sales for the last six years.
As the new customer service instructor at TRSA’s Executive Management Institute, Jon will discuss what he looks for in CSRs and how to hire, train, and motivate them to get high performance from the ground up.
