Operator-Specific Benefits

Every textile services member company regardless of size or market has one vote in governing TRSA and deciding how its resources should be allocated. At the same time your opinion is factored into determining policies advocated by TRSA—the only collective voice of the industry to the public and federal government working to promote and protect the textile rental services business.

Advocacy

With headquarters operations in the nation’s capital TRSA taps into federal government sources to monitor and report regulatory and legislative developments concerning textile services company owners and operators.  TRSA advocates directly with Washington officials, participates in coalitions and prompts grassroots activity to ensure that government hears the industry’s voice when ruling on relevant environmental, tax, workplace safety and other labor issues.

TRSA proactively builds the industry’s reputation in Washington by promoting to Congress and federal agencies the value and benefits of reusable textiles and commercial laundry service.  TRSA also portrays the industry’s economic and pro-environment contributions to media nationwide.

Education & Training

TRSA is committed to providing the highest level of education and training resources available for the textile services community including long-standing university-based institutes for executive, production and maintenance management (EMI, PMI, MMI). Industry-wide and market-specific conferences include Healthcare and Tech/Plant learning tracks and an Annual Convention and Business Meeting. These multi-session programs involve facilitators and instructors selected from industry and business leaders by TRSA Committees and feature highly sought-after experts on an array of issues impacting operations across all markets and sectors.

TRSA delivers educational programming to members directly to their workplaces 24/7 through online training materials and monthly webcasts that feature industry and business leaders discussing the latest management, technology and operational advancements and issues.

Information-Sharing & Networking

TRSA serves as the textile services industry’s link to innovations, news, trends and products and services that members need to learn about to build their companies’ revenues and reduce costs.  Members exchange and share information important to daily operations through TRSA’s award-winning monthly magazine Textile Services, our weekly e-news TS Weekly, annual national conferences and events, regional meetings, webinars and interactive online forums.

Participating on TRSA committees connects members with colleagues to share information and ideas on specific issues and markets. TRSA co-sponsors the bi-annual Clean Show, the world’s largest laundry expo, enabling launderers to network with solution providers offering equipment, supplies and expertise critical to improving productivity.

Research & Benchmarking

TRSA facilitates benchmarking and research that supports textile rental services companies’ efforts to increase productivity, improve employee safety and protect the environment. Member companies voluntarily submit data compiled into research reports that document the industry’s gains in resource conservation, employment, workplace injury and illness reduction, labor relations and productivity.

This same information-sharing between members enables them to benchmark their performance against industry standards and inspires them to improve business practices.

Supplier Partner-Specific Benefits

TRSA is a value-driven membership organization representing the interests and serving the needs of the industry from national companies to single plant operators. We are joined in this endeavor by forward-thinking Supplier Partners who offer the products and services that make this business better and who recognize the market leadership of our membership manifested in:

  • Expansive buying power of large national companies
  • Groundbreaking business practices of our progressive local and regional operations
  • Membership accounts for 90 percent of all industry revenues

TRSA’s Supplier Partner Council gives these members a substantial voice in the association, especially in advocacy, association priorities and networking. While TRSA has traditionally focused on industry operators, suppliers have always been a valued and important part of the association. Renaming of Associates as Supplier Partners reflects their importance in direction and strategy. The Council defends suppliers’ interests with federal and state regulators and elected leaders, ensures suppliers’ broad influence on association policy and fosters enhanced networking among them.

Networking and Information-Sharing

Supplier Partners have a voice in planning association activities and are encouraged to share their ideas about how TRSA can better protect and promote the industry. As TRSA enhances its traditional print publications and in-person networking opportunities and introduces next-generation web-based resources, Supplier Partners are invited to suggest or submit content for publication and discussion. They receive Member Only discounts to meetings and events including exhibit space at TRSA events and the biannual Clean Show. Access to members is also provided through committee work and other TRSA activities that build communities within the industry.

Print and Online Promotional Opportunities

Textile Services’ 10,000+ readers are decision-makers with nearly 85% responsible for authorizing/purchasing products and services for their companies.  More than three quarters of Textile Services readers consider the publication the “Most Helpful Resource” in the linen, uniform and facility services industry.

TSWeekly is an excellent opportunity to reach information-seeking executives and managers every week. It is distributed to more than 7,000 industry decision-makers each week with pass-along readership of an additional 10,000.  TS Weekly is the most anticipated and read online news source for executives and management in the industrial, commercial and institutional laundry segments. Banner and button advertising is available.
