Alsco Breaks Ground on its Largest U.S. Plant

Alsco Inc., Salt Lake City, recently announced plans to partner with ARCO/Murray for a “build-to-suit” plant in Kyle, TX, that will be the company’s largest U.S. facility at 96,000 square feet, according to a news release.

Construction began this summer with a targeted completion date of early July 2018, the release said. The new plant will include 9,000 square feet of mezzanine space, a 6,500-square-foot mechanical room and 9,000 square feet of office space. Utility service upgrades will include water, sewer, natural gas and electrical. An energy-saving ceramic filtration water recycle system from Norchem Corp. is to be added to reduce water usage.

ARCO/Murray is overseeing construction through a “design-build” solution that includes architectural and engineering design, permitting and final equipment connections. ARCO/Murray’s Justin Hearld and David Rogers are serving as project manager and superintendent, respectively, for the building of the new plant.
