Alsco Inc., a fourth-generation family business that celebrated its 125th anniversary last year, has acquired Admiral Linen and Uniform Services, a move that will boost Alsco’s presence across Texas and parts of Oklahoma, according to a news release.

“Admiral’s long success can be attributed to many of the same qualities that have kept Alsco growing and thriving for more than 125 years,” said Jim Kearns, Alsco CFO. “These include a long heritage of family ownership and management, along with a deep respect for employees and customers.”

Steve Larson, Alsco vice president of North American Operations, added that the move will broaden the company’s reach in the Southwest. “This acquisition adds eight processing plants to our 73 existing plants in North America, expanding our geographic coverage significantly. These include linen, industrial uniform and healthcare processing plants in Houston, Fort Worth, Wichita Falls and Corpus Christi (TX).”

Admiral will continue to operate under the Admiral brand name.

“Alsco has over 125 years of experience and Admiral has over 66,” said Jim Divers, Alsco director of sales and marketing. “As partners, we have almost 200 years of combined experience, and that’s something unique that we can offer our customers.”
