Chamber Endorses Blunt During Faultless Tour

U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) recently received an endorsement from the U.S. Chamber while he was touring a Faultless Linen plant in Kansas City, MO, according to news reports.

“He values American energy exploration,” said U.S. Chamber of Commerce National Policy Director Rob Engstrom. “He knows it’s the fastest way to create jobs in this country. He’s also not afraid to push back against the EPA and the other alphabet soup of government agencies.” Engstrom added that Sen. Blunt’s approach stands in stark contrast to that of his opponent in the upcoming election, Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander. It’s no surprise that Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren (MA) and Harry Reid (NV) have endorsed Kander, despite his thin record of accomplishment at the state level, he said.

Rather than attacking Kander, Sen. Blunt took aim at ineffective government programs and administrators that he says are holding back economic growth in Missouri and across the nation. “The regulators have been so out of control in recent years, and the goals for our economy the government’s been setting haven’t been the kind of goals that create the kind of jobs we need to have,” Blunt said.

The senator also touted his support for recent congressional measures, such as last year’s five-year highway bill that he said will help Missouri maintain its highly competitive transportation network. Click here and here to learn more.
