Crothall Healthcare, Wayne, PA, recently was designated as one of 100 companies vying for the title of “Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania.”

This year’s list represents 44 small, 27 midsize and 29 large companies. Eligible companies included for-profit and nonprofit companies, publicly or privately held firms that employ at least 15 state residents and have operated for at least one year, the reports said.

The application process began in March. Registrants were required to have both employees and managers complete a survey to assess their work policies and attitudes toward their workplaces. Winners were chosen based on a two-fold test: a review of the companies’ workforce policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics; and the results of a survey measuring employee satisfaction.

The competition is sponsored by Team Pennsylvania, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization launched in 1997 to bring Pennsylvania government and private-sector leaders together for the betterment of the state. The numeric list of winners will be announced on Nov. 30 in Lancaster, PA. Click here for details.
