Jim Page, 69, a longtime laundry owner/operator who retired after selling Mission Industries in 2011, passed away on Jan. 20, according to a news release from Mission Linen Supply, a separate business founded in 1930 by Page’s father, George “Ben” Page.

Jim Page spent his entire career in the textile services industry. As the owner and leader of Mission Industries, he ran the company using the same guiding principles as Ben Page, the release said.

“Jim was an inspiration to his peers, team members and customers,” according to the release. “He surrounded himself with other motivational and inspirational leaders. A progressive, visionary business owner, Jim took risks throughout his career, including growing and expanding the business through acquisitions.

“Spurred by a renewed commitment to marketing, Jim developed opportunities in new markets by diversifying Mission Industries’ products and services.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 1, in Las Vegas. A celebration of Page's life is planned for 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 29, at the Santa Barbara Yacht Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Page Youth Center, 4540 Hollister Ave., Santa Barbara, CA 93110; 805.967.8778; www.pageyouthcenter.org.
