Kemco Systems Co. LLC, Clearwater, FL, recently announced the appointment of Tom Vanden Heuvel as the company’s new president.

Carroll Gorrell, who previously had served as president, will continue his role as CEO and support Vanden Heuvel in all areas of Kemco operations, according to a news release.

While Vanden Heuvel is new to textile services, he has 20 years’ experience in other areas analogous to Kemco’s provision of water-treatment systems for laundry operators. Specifically, Vanden Heuvel most recently held VP and business unit president posts at Crane Water, a division of Crane Co., a $2-billion publicly traded diversified industrial company. Vanden Heuvel had full P&L responsibility for that operation.

He also transitioned Crane through the integration of private-equity backed Newterra, Ltd. Vanden Heuvel led the combined business with $35 million in sales and employees based in four states.

Before joining Crane Water, Vanden Heuvel served as general manager of C’treat Offshore in Texas, a global ISO 9001 manufacturer of custom water-treatment equipment servicing the offshore oil and gas markets.

Vanden Heuvel will oversee all Kemco operations, with a focus on profitable sales growth and process improvement. He has an engineering background, including a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. Click here for details.
