Senator Visits Superior Linen Service Plant

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) recently took a plant tour of Superior Linen Service’s Springdale, AR, plant. The plant recently achieved OSHA’s Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) certification from the Arkansas Department of Labor.

While walking the production floor, Sen. Cotton got an in-depth tour of the plant’s operations from Neal Ray, the director of operations at the company’s Springdale location. The senator interacted with several members of the staff and even received instruction on how to properly feed napkins into an ironer.

Following the plant tour, Sen. Cotton sat down with Superior Linen Service executives to discuss issues affecting commercial laundries, specifically rules and regulations coming from the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

This plant tour was set up through TRSA’s government relations department. If you’re interested in having an elected official tour your facility and would like TRSA’s help, please contact Vice President of Government Relations Kevin Schwalb at kschwalb@trsa.org or 877.770.9274.
