With the kickoff of Texcare Asia in Shanghai now barely two months off, vendor floor space for this laundry industry trade event already is 95% sold out, according to a news release.

This three-day trade show from Sept. 27-29 will feature many Asian and international exhibitors who’ll display their wares for an audience of some 11,000 attendees. Among the exhibitors are Girbau, JENSEN, Kannegiesser, Sailstar and others. In all, the show has drawn 160 vendors from 21 countries, including Australia, the U.S., Germany, Japan, the UK, Brazil and others, the release said.

Richard Li, general manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., says the linen, uniform and facility services industry in Asia and particularly in China, is experiencing major growth and change. “While the demands on laundry service in Asia are increasing rapidly, there’s also an emerging need for more personalized and diversified service,” he said. “In recent years, a number of industry players have made significant progress in automation and innovations to cater to those needs, under the backdrop of increased operational expenditure and raised environmental awareness. At the same time, the global industry is catering to these growing needs by exploring the ways in which their advanced technologies can be adapted by the Asian market.”

The show will include several dedicated areas, including ones highlighting technical innovations from German and Japanese manufacturers. It also will feature a separate “RFID Zone” that will showcase leading vendors in the area of radio frequency identification technology, such as Datamars, Thermopatch and others. The tracking capabilities of RFID significantly increase the visibility, accuracy and efficiency of laundry operations by automatically tracking the status of each garment and thereby helping to reduce losses, the release said.

Texcare Asia will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China. Click here or here for more information.
