U.S. Rep. Joe Heck, (R-NV) recently toured Automated Laundry Services in Reno, NV. TRSA arranged the visit to show Rep. Heck the global reach of the commercial laundry industry. The congressman has also visited industrial and hospitality plants in Las Vegas. He commented on the very different setups of the plants.

Rep. Heck emphasized the importance of the industry getting involved in the public policy process and recognized TRSA efforts. “As the only organization representing the textile services industry, TRSA’s efforts to reach out to congressional members is highly effective and important,” Rep. Heck said of the association.

Rep. Heck received a personal tour of the facility by ALS’ President and TRSA member Greg Anderson. The congressman observed the process from sorting to delivery. Rep. Heck was impressed with the facility, and increased his knowledge about the textile services industry. “We at ALS appreciate Rep. Heck’s visit,” said Anderson. “TRSA did a great job setting the event up.”

The tour of the ALS plant and visit by Rep. Heck is another great example of the productive relationships that TRSA cultivates with members of Congress on behalf of the industry. If you’d like to have a member of Congress or other government official tour your facility, please contact TRSA Vice President of Government Relations Kevin Schwalb at kschwalb@trsa.org.
