Chris Stirewalt, a top political commentator who makes daily on-air appearances on the Fox News Channel (FNC) will be the keynote speaker at TRSA’s Leadership & Legislative Conference this March 16-17, 2016, in Washington, DC.

A key analyst for FNC in its coverage of the 2016 presidential campaign (he played a similar role in 2012), Stirewalt hosts "Power Play" on and is seen on "America Live with Megyn Kelly," "Special Report with Bret Baier" and "Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace." He also serves as digital politics editor for FNC. Before joining the network in 2010, he was political editor for the Washington Examiner, where he wrote a twice-weekly column.

Stirewalt’s late-afternoon presentation on Wednesday, March 16, will precede conference attendees’ preparation for TRSA Hill Day activities the following morning. All attendees are encouraged to participate in these small-group visits to legislators’ offices. The strategy-formulation session early Wednesday evening - following Stirewalt’s talk - will enable these groups to formulate strategy to convey the textile services industry’s positions to policy makers.

Participating in this TRSA members-only conference improves attendees’ insights into the current political and economic climate in which their businesses operate. Studying TRSA’s policy agenda and advancing it face-to-face with members of Congress and their staffs will help you hone your presentation skills as you describe your company’s economic and social contributions to your service area.

When Hill Day meetings conclude Thursday morning, the conference will shift back to the host hotel (Gaylord National Resort, National Harbor, MD) for TRSA committee meetings. These groups maximize a company’s membership value by prompting TRSA to act on the operational issues that concern the member’s management team. Committee members’ personal expertise enhances TRSA’s professional-development programs, research projects, certification standards, publications, videos, webinars and industry/customer outreach.

In addition to two new committees, one dedicated to laundry information technology and another to finance, these standing panels are scheduled to meet:

  • Education
  • Environmental & Sustainability
  • Government Affairs
  • Healthcare
  • Human Resources
  • Marketing/PR
  • Safety

After the committee meetings, the conference concludes with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, offering Irish delights in the early evening, providing all the benefits of a pub crawl in just one spot at the Gaylord.
