TRSA has unveiled a job board to attract professionals currently working outside the textile services business to join the industry. This new service, the Textile Services Career Center, also will serve as a resource for individuals now in the business to remain in the industry, instead of seeking employment elsewhere. The launch is a key component in TRSA’s efforts to ensure that the industry attracts and retains top talent.

A limited-capability version of the Career Center is available now to build familiarity with the site. It contains openings from indeed.com, the world's top job site, with over 180 million unique visitors every month from over 60 countries. This beta version is essentially a shortcut for sifting through indeed.com textile services openings. Instead of inputting search criteria to the main indeed.com site to find the industry, they go to the TRSA site, where listings have already been filtered in this respect. Then they filter by job location (state, Canada or international).

Users also can take advantage of the usual suite of job board services, such as:

  • Receiving e-mail alerts regarding positions of interest
  • Saving found job listings for later reference
  • Creating a personal profile with resume attachment
  •  Applying for positions when prospective employers allow

Launderers can immediately take advantage of the site's employer capabilities. They can post openings, search prospective employees’ resumes and receive alerts when additional individuals of interest post their resumes. Launderers can also use the site to manage the process of screening applications.

In response to launderers’ interest in recruiting higher-skilled talent, TRSA hopes to link the Textile Services Career Center to other job boards. TRSA is already a member of the Engineering and Science Career Network, an alliance of associations representing employers seeking such professionals.
