TRSA’s Healthcare Conference in San Diego on Nov. 18-19 drew a crowd of some 170 attendees to an event that members praised for both its educational content and the peer networking opportunities it provided.

“TRSA and the Healthcare Committee put together an outstanding event,” said Johanna Ames, president, Ames Linen Service, Cortland, NY. “The Healthcare Conference is always a value-added, information-rich program, and this year proved no different. The ‘Speed Sessions’ (seminars in an abbreviated format), new this year, afforded significant educational content in a compact time frame. This is a not-to-be-missed meeting for any healthcare operator.”

Other attendees emphasized the networking benefits along with the educational content that the conference provided. “The conference was a great networking event, focusing on target topics and was professionally run, from beginning to end,” said Jacob Zahler, COO, Clean Tex Services, Linden, NJ. “The seminars and speakers all shared extremely valuable insights and perspectives, keeping us aware of what’s trending in the healthcare market.”

Another operator said the pace of the conference, coupled with its opportunities to confer with peers, made it a valuable program. “I loved it,” said Joe Mastin, owner/operator of Medi-Clean Healthcare Laundry Service LLC, Odessa, DE. “The networking and the peer review are what I value the most. The new Speed Sessions are great for my learning style and that style is way better for most attendees.”

For others, the experience of discussing industry challenges with other operators is the key benefit of TRSA’s Healthcare Conference. Christian Luneburg, president, Florida Linen Services LLC, Pompano Beach, FL, put it this way: “The event always serves as a great networking opportunity. I find great value in being able to talk to other regional operators and seeing how they are dealing with the issues our industry is facing.”
