TRSA closed its 2015 webinar schedule with a focus on boosting sales through social media channels. The presentation, titled “How to Use LinkedIn and Social Selling to Crush Your Sales Quota,” was presented by Jeff Zelaya, a leading social selling expert and the head of sales at the venture-backed startup, Triblio, Reston, VA.

Zelaya is one of LinkedIn’s most recommended speakers, traveling across the U.S. teaching business executives, students, HR professionals and entrepreneurs how to leverage LinkedIn for professional success. Zelaya has been a past speaker at TRSA events and a keynote speaker and consultant for various companies in the textile services industry.

Zelaya kicked off the hour-long presentation by noting the differences between the sales process of the past with today’s selling environment. While the previous sales model focused on advertising, cold calling and pitching clients, today’s era calls for a mixture of content, technology and engagement—often presented in an online environment, rather than by phone or personal meetings with clients or prospects. By utilizing social sales teams, companies on average:

  • Increase customer renewals by 15%
  • Increase team quota attainment by 31%
  • Increase reps hitting quota by 21%
  • Increase weekly demos from 4.3 to 7.8
