2008 Safety Report
TRSA's 2008 Safety Report, summarizes occupational injury and illness data submitted by 494 industry facilities including 366 laundries. The data is used to benchmark the textile services industry's Total Recordable Incidence Rate (TRIR rate) – the total number of recordable injuries and illnesses per 100 employees – as well as the industry's Days Away from work, Restricted activity or job Transfer (DART Rate) -- the number of injuries and illnesses resulting in days away from work, restricted job activity and/or job transfer. Members can use the results of the report in order to benchmark their facilities’ own safety records against the industry’s. By analyzing the numbers, members can determine if their workplace injury and illness rates at least match that of the industry’s median.
