Paris Healthcare Linen Services, DuBois, Pa., has earned the Hygienically Clean Healthcare designation, reflecting their commitment to best management practices (BMPs) in laundering as verified by on-site inspection and their capability to produce hygienically clean textiles as quantified by ongoing microbial testing.

Paris Cos. has certified that its DuBois, PA, plant meets the inspection, documented best practices and other criteria needed to quality for the Hygienically Clean certification program. 

TRSA's Maintenance Management Institute, slated for Nov. 1-3, in Newark, NJ, will refine and broaden the skills of maintenance managers, engineers, plant and general managers. 

Penn Emblem Co., Philadelphia, and ImprintsUSA are holding a fundraiser to raise money for the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. All proceeds from the sale of these Texas Flag patches will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, bringing support to those affected, according to a news release.

Hurricane Harvey left between 25% and 30% of Harris County – home to 4.5 million people in Houston and its near suburbs – flooded by the third day of the storm, according to an estimate from a meteorologist with the county flood control district. The torrential rain left homes flooded to their second floors and power lines under water. Leonard Automatics Director of International Marketing Robert Spradley and his wife, Lesa, helped those in need by delivering much-needed supplies.

Matrix World Group (MWG), Santiago, Chile, officially launches its first-ever collection of treated flame-resistant clothing, all manufactured using fabric from Mount Vernon FR, Trion, GA. MWG specializes in the technical design, development and custom manufacturing of flame-resistant workwear for industrial use. Until its recent collaboration with Mount Vernon FR, MWG’s primary focus has been on flame-resistant clothing made from inherent flame-resistant fabrics, according to a news release.

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey and the devastation in Texas, communities throughout the United States have come together to help those in need. As images of Houston’s flooding by as much as 50 inches of rain shocked the nation, efforts to help came together quickly. TRSA operator member Paris Cos. did its part by working with the Greater Johnstown (PA) Convention & Visitors Bureau in the “To Texas with Love” Houston flood-relief project.

After experiencing the devastating effects of Superstorm Sandy in the New York-area in 2012, employees at Peekskill, NY-based White Plains Linen saw the impact from flooding and high winds that Hurricane Harvey had in Texas and knew they had to help those in need.
