A summary of the case study describes how a conveyor system in the company’s Richmond, VA, plant moves hundreds of copper-infused (antimicrobial) plastic bins loaded with RFID-chipped healthcare textiles to facilitate the distribution of clean goods to customers.

Swedish Company Opens New Eco-Friendly Laundry

Hr Bjorkmans Entrémattor recently opened a new laundry in the city of Kalix, close to the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden. Offering mat services, the company has received several awards for its eco-smart solution laundry system that reuses 98% of water, according to a news release.

POTW Project Outlined in Webinar

TRSA’s Environmental Committee recently held an hour-long webinar to apprise the TRSA membership of an ongoing project on wastewater compliance that the committee is working on that includes revising a POTW (publicly owned treatment works) manual for the linen, uniform and facility services industry. The committee also wanted to get members’ ideas on information/topics and case studies to include in the documents.
