TRSA Members Make Best Corporate Citizens List

Several TRSA member companies recently made Corporate Responsibility (CR) magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens list, which recognizes the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of public companies in the U.S., according to a news release. The highest-rated TRSA member was Ecolab Inc., St. Paul, MN, which was eighth on the list.

Hr Björkmans Wins Sustainability Award

TRSA international operator member Hr Björkmans Entrémattor AB, Arlov, Sweden, recently won the annual Sustainability Award from Sweden’s Laundry Association, according to a news release. Hr Björkmans will receive the honor at the association’s Annual Meeting on May 17. The award will be presented by Andreas Schönström and Henrik Gram of Christeyns.

TRSA ‘Net Promoter Score’ Confirms High Member Satisfaction

Sentiment toward recommending TRSA membership to a friend or colleague is the strongest since the association’s annual membership satisfaction survey began asking a question about the organization’s referral-worthiness in 2014. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 65 generated by the response to the question is 26% higher than the previous surveyed high.

WSI Announces New CEO

TRSA associate member Washing Systems LLC (WSI), Loveland, OH, recently announced that it has named former PolyOne executive Craig Nikrant as the company’s new CEO. Nikrant succeeds Terry Shoreman, who is pursuing his planned retirement after 18 years of service at WSI and over four decades in the linen, uniform and facility services industry, according to a news release.

Hygienically Clean: TRSA Launches e-Learning Course

TRSA will roll out a qualitative building block for members with the May 14 introduction of its new e-Learning course, Producing Hygienically Clean Textiles. Both current Hygienically Clean certified plants and those yet to be certified will benefit from employees who will demonstrate commitment to clearly understanding the basic requirements and Best Management Practices (BMPs) for processing hygienically clean textiles, and their roles in the hygienically clean process.

TRSA Awards: Call for Nominations

TRSA’s Annual Awards recognize exemplary efforts by linen, uniform and facility services employees and company leaders on behalf of their businesses and the industry. Members are encouraged to submit colleagues’ and competitors’ names for the accolades, then encourage others to second these nominations. Winners will be recognized at the TRSA Annual Conference in October in Napa, CA. Nominations are due June 30.
