TRSA recently held its fall Production Summit & Plant Tours program, in conjunction with its annual Maintenance Management Institute (MMI), in Philadelphia. The two-day Production Summit took place on Sept. 25-26, with MMI running from Sept. 26-28. The two programs combined for a pair of plant tours on the morning of Sept. 26.
TRSA’s efforts to reform California’s Title 22 code, which regulates the laundering of healthcare linen, took the final step to passage when California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) signed the legislation into law. Gov. Brown signed the bill on Sept. 20.

Bernard “Bernie” Speckhart, the longtime chairman and CEO of White Conveyors Inc. recently passed away after dedicating 64 years to the family business, according to a news release. In that time, he oversaw numerous patented conveyor-design innovations, as well as the installation of more than 100,000 conveyors in the U.S. and worldwide.
