Cintas Gets VPP Star in FL, MS


Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, recently announced that its uniform-rental locations in Jacksonville, FL, and Jackson, MS, have received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), according to a news release.

MA Launderer Settles VOC Charges


The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently settled charges against Clean Uniforms and More, New Bedford, MA, for violations of the Clean Air Act, according to an agency news release. The deal, approved in federal district court concurrently with the EPA’s complaint, will require the company to pay a $200,000 penalty. Clean Uniforms also must implement air-pollution control equipment to curb emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from its industrial laundry operations. The company cooperated with the EPA throughout the settlement process, the release said.

Cayetano Gets Career Achievement Award


Vicky Cayetano recently was given the Women Who Mean Business Career Achievement award from Pacific Business News. Cayetano is the president and CEO of TRSA operator member company United Laundry Services Inc., Honolulu, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2018.

Mission Opens New Bay Area Plant


Mission Linen Supply recently built and opened a new, 100,000-square-foot LEED-certified facility in Newark, CA. The plant is capable of processing more than 70 million lbs. of textiles annually. The new facility will provide services to customers throughout the San Francisco Bay area, according to a news release.

Kannegiesser ETECH Forms Integrated Solutions Team


Eight months after the announcement that Kannegiesser acquired E-Tech and formed Kannegiesser ETECH, the company has announced another round of internal staff changes. The Integrated Solutions Team (IST) consists of laundry design specialists and project managers who are dedicated to optimizing system designs and transitioning projects from sales to service, according to a news release.
