Emerald Textiles Acquires Staheli Laundry Services

Emerald Textiles recently announced the acquisition of the assets of Staheli Laundry Services, a Saint George, UT-based healthcare linen service provider. The acquisition is complementary to Emerald’s current West Coast footprint and allows the company to serve both the Southern Utah and Las Vegas markets, according to a news release.

Eco-Friendly Apparel: Regent Strikes Deal with Finnish Company

TRSA associate member Regent Apparel, San Francisco, is teaming up with Finnish apparel brand TouchPoint Oy to offer sustainable, circular uniform solutions to companies throughout the United States.  The collaboration is led by two women entrepreneurs who are taking workwear solutions into a new era, not only by designing stylish garments from eco-friendly materials, but also by providing closed loop programs to its clients, according to a news release.

TXCA & CLE Show Set for Sept. 25-27

The first edition of the combined Texcare Asia and China Laundry Expo (TXCA & CLE) is expected to welcome approximately 25,000 visitors across 322,917 square feet (30,000 square meters) at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Over 250 exhibitors from 20 different countries and regions will make an appearance at the Sept. 25-27 show in order to connect with customers and industry professionals, according to a news release.

Penn Emblem Provides Backpacks to Staff in Mexico

TRSA associate member Penn Emblem Co. recently provided families at its manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico, with backpacks filled with school supplies for the 2019 school year. The company donated just under 100 backpacks to staff members and their children, according to a news release.

Hygienically Clean: UniFirst Certifies Four More Facilities

Four UniFirst laundries have recently earned the Hygienically Clean Food Safety certification, bringing the number of UniFirst Corp. facilities that have reached this milestone to 56, the most Hygienically Clean certified plants of any company in the industry. The newly-certified facilities are located in these cities: Ontario, CA; Wichita, KS; and Amarillo and Harlingen, TX. UniFirst’s Stockton, CA, location also qualified for renewal of its Food Safety certification for another three years.
