TRSA kicked off its 11th Annual Legislative Conference & Industry Awards Dinner on March 24 with a full slate of committee meetings. The meetings were held both in-person at The Westin Old Town Alexandria as well as virtually through Zoom video conference.

The U.S Senate overwhelmingly approved the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Extension Act (H.R. 1799), which extends the PPP until May 31. The Senate passed the bill on March 25 by a vote of 92-7, after the bill passed the House on March 16.

Bill Josey, leader of Riegel Linen LLC, passed away unexpectedly on March 23. Josey had been with Riegel for 36 years, beginning in sales and eventually becoming the CEO and a member of the company’s board of directors, according to a news release.

Legislative Conference: TRSA’s Virtual Hill Day a Success!

TRSA held its Hill Day on March 25 to close its 11th Annual Legislative Conference. The meetings were a resounding success, with a total of 96 linen, uniform and facility services industry executives taking part in 110 meetings with members of Congress and key staff members. TRSA staff joined members on the calls, the majority of which took place via Zoom video conference.
