Emerald Textiles™ Expands through Acquisition of Angelica Assets

Emerald Textiles™, a portfolio company of Los Angeles-based private investment firm Pacific Avenue Capital Partners LLC, announced today that it has acquired the West Coast assets of Angelica Corp. The transaction includes nine facilities and allows Emerald to expand into the Phoenix and Las Vegas markets, while simultaneously strengthening its footprint in both Northern and Southern California, according to a news release.

Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo Pushed Back to 2022

In support of the Chinese government’s pandemic control measures, the organizers of Texcare Asia & China Laundry Expo (TXCA & CLE) recently announced the postponement of the upcoming edition of the trade show, which was scheduled to take place this month. The show will instead be held in its usual third-quarter timeslot on Aug. 11-13, 2022, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, according to a news release.

DOL Finalizes $15 Min. Wage for Federal Contractors

New CFO Announced at Ecolab

TRSA supplier partner Ecolab Inc., St. Paul, MN, recently announced that Dan Schmechel has decided to step down as its CFO, effective Dec. 31. Schmechel has served in the role since 2012. Scott Kirkland will become the company’s CFO on Jan. 1, 2022. Schmechel will remain with Ecolab through a transition period and retire in mid-year 2022, according to a news release.

Nominations Due for Upcoming Industry Awards Presentation

Although winners of the 2021 TRSA Annual Industry Awards were celebrated at the Annual Conference in October, nominations for the 2022 honors are encouraged immediately. These accolades are normally presented at a dinner at the Legislative Conference each March. COVID-19 canceled that conference in 2020, delaying the presentation of that year’s honors until March 2021 and pushing the 2021 ceremony until the fall. The 2022 cycle is returning the program to the traditional timetable, with nominees to be judged early in the new year.
