Clean ’22 Moving Forward; ’25 Show Will Shift to Odd Years

On March 14, Messe Frankfurt hosted The Clean 2022 Pre-Show Exhibitor Meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. More than 30 representatives from exhibitors attended the meeting in-person with nearly 90 joining virtually. The meeting, held several months prior to each Clean Show, offers an opportunity to meet show management, the general contractor, utility provider, and other vendors to get questions answered and walk the exhibit hall in preparation for the show.

As this occurs, you’ll note hotels becoming less dependent on rate increases to improve revenues as more guest rooms are filled.

Reopening Tour Makes Workers Stars of the Industry

Spanning from March 2021 to March 2022, the TRSA Reopening Tour documented the industry’s steadily advancing COVID-19 recovery. In five separate one- to two-week trips, TRSA staff traveled nearly 8,000 miles in the air and on the road to U.S. states and cities where member companies are most abundant. By far the most common sight in laundries was members’ commitment to overcoming pandemic-influenced challenges to keeping their customers flush with linens, uniforms and facility services products.

Break the Bias: TRSA Members, Staff Take Part in IWD Campaign

TRSA members and staff participated in International Women’s Day’s #BreakTheBias campaign on March 8. The campaign strives to create a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination where differences are valued and celebrated. Participants were encouraged to submit images striking the #BreakTheBias pose, with their arms crossed to form an “X.”

JENSEN Reports 6% Income Hike in ’21

In a hoped-for signal of post-COVID-19 recovery, JENSEN-GROUP, Burgdorf, Switzerland, recently reported a 6% hike in revenues for 2021 over 2020, according to a news release. The company also reported its highest-ever order intake numbers (i.e., orders placed in production but not delivered) that could reflect pent-up demand following the pandemic slowdown.
