TRSA Hosts Info Session on Massachusetts Waste Ban


In light of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) expanding their waste-disposal ban to include textiles, TRSA hosted an hour-long information session on Jan. 25 to discuss the impact on the linen, uniform and facility services industry.

ImageFIRST, King of Prussia, PA, recently announced that it completed its acquisition of Island Fox Inc. This acquisition marks ImageFIRST’s second laundry processing plant in the state of New York. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Cindy Lapidakis, vice president of sales & marketing at Royal Basket Trucks, recently was recognized as one of the 2022 Notable Women in Manufacturing by BizTimes, a publication focused on business news in the Milwaukee area. After starting her career in the printing industry, Cindy joined the Royal team in 2007 to facilitate the expansion of operations while targeting new growth markets.

Gurtler Holds Global Sales Conference


Gurtler Industries Inc., South Holland, IL, recently held its three-day Global Sales Conference at the Briar Ridge Country Club in Schererville, IN, just outside Chicago. Standard Textile Co. Inc., Cincinnati, recently announced that Alex Heiman will assume the role of president. Alex succeeds his father, Gary Heiman, as the fourth-generation president of Standard Textile. Gary Heiman continues to serve in a leadership role at Standard Textile as chairman and CEO, according to a news release.
