Gurtler Industries Inc., South Holland, IL, recently announced the addition of Amir Amini to its staff. Amini will be the company’s manager of market development in the New England area, according to a news release.

Kevin Schwalb, TRSA’s vice president of government relations, was invited to speak at the ACT Expo – the nation’s largest fleet and zero-emission vehicles show. Schwalb was part of a panel presentation on California and other states’ efforts to require zero-emission delivery vehicles. Schwalb shared the panel with Bruce Tuter, supervisor of Region One for the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

TRSA held a California Roundtable in conjunction with the ACT Expo – a trade show highlighting Zero-Emission Vehicles. During the Roundtable, attendees were updated on the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) recently approved Advanced Clean Fleet Rule, which sets a schedule for California companies to transition to zero-emission fleets. 

Growth in its clinic and other outpatient business has recently spurred the completion of several equipment upgrades at the Medico Healthcare Linen Service plant in Long Beach, CA, according to Greg Shames, vice president of operations.
