What Healthcare Laundry Inspectors UncoverJuly 18, 2018 - 2pm - 3pm • Webinar
What does an inspector look for or expect when scrutinizing an outsourced laundry? The Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification program’s chief inspector will cover key points from the program’s plant inspection checklist.
A thorough plant walk-through calls attention to each laundry function. Points critical to infection prevention are assessed in:
- Finishing (drying, folding, ironing)
- Staging and storage
- Surgical pack assembly
The checklist reveals how an inspection determines a laundry’s thoroughness in:
- Controlling pests
- Preventing cross-contamination
- Properly using, maintaining and calibrating equipment
Also included in the checklist are criteria for inspectors to evaluate laundry processes, washing procedures and OSHA compliance. This webinar will examine overt and hidden clues to effective hygiene such as quality assurance practices, employees’ appearance and competence and overall plant cleanliness.
