TRSA will be hosting a New York Regional Roundtable and Plant Tour on October 18 featuring remarks from Assemblywoman Amanda Septimo, of the 84th district of the New York State Assembly. The event will cover topics ranging from the success of TRSA getting the Healthcare Worker Safety and Sustainability Act legislation, introduced in New York, which will require a 50% threshold of reusable healthcare textiles in healthcare facilities to the proposal of New York City to start a congestion-pricing scheme that would cost deliveries an extra $25 per trip into a high-traffic zone.
A roundtable discussion led by Joe Ricci, TRSA CEO and President, and TRSA Vice President of Government Relations Kevin Schwalb will give attendees the opportunity to discuss with their peers these and other issues critical to the industry.
The afternoon will end with a plant tour of the Unitex plant in Mount Vernon, NY which specializes in healthcare laundry.
