TRSA New York Legislative Conference 2019March 4-5, 2019 • Albany, NY Register
There is no fee for this event; your only expenses are for travel and lodging, but we need your registration to plan the Capital visit.
Whether you work in a corporate office, plant or branch, your operation will benefit from your participation in this upcoming event to voice the need for fair and balanced regulation of our industry in New York state.
TRSA is hosting a New York State Legislative Conference on March 4 & 5 in Albany, NY at the Hilton Albany, 40 Lodge Street, Albany, NY to highlight the adverse impact congestion pricing would have on the linen, uniform and facility services industry.
Congestion pricing would implement an added $25 per-trip charge on delivery vehicles, while limiting the time of delivery, which would have a significant impact on the industry. While this specifically has a direct impact on TRSA members who deliver into New York City, it is a state issue and talks are occurring to implement it statewide.
This initiative is being considered for the state budget in March and we need to stay in front of it. While TRSA is leading the process, your participation is required for success as New Yorkers must make the industry’s case.
This event is planned to make good use of the minimum amount of time away from your company:
Monday, March 4, 4:30-6:00 pm: Orientation session on the congestion pricing issue, followed by a welcome reception. This will bring you up to speed to allow you to talk to your legislator and get their support. We will also go over how to “lobby” your representative and what is expected. That evening, State Legislators will be invited to the reception to give you an opportunity to get to know them in a relaxed setting.
Tuesday, March 5, 9:00-10:00 am: Breakfast and a review of any last-minute questions
Tuesday, March 5, 10:00 am-12:00 noon: State Capital visits with your local representatives to encourage their support for the industry
Tuesday, March 5, 12:00 noon: Departure following Legislative visits
