TRSA Supports Folds of Honor
Participate in this year’s TRSA charitable effort to help ensure no family is left behind in the fight to preserve freedom. We’re supporting the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides educational opportunities to the spouses and children of America’s fallen and wounded soldiers. This nationwide effort began when founder Major Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, returned home from his second tour of duty in Iraq. His plane was carrying the remains of Corporal Brock Bucklin. As the flag-covered casket emerged, Major Rooney was overcome by the sight of Corporal Bucklin’s young son. Seeing war through the boy’s eyes, he committed himself to changing the lives of spouses and children of those who gave so much to preserve our freedom.
TRSA Chairman Doug Waldman selected Folds as our 2016 cause; your donation honors him as well as supporting an organization that sends 87 percent of what it raises directly to recipients, about $10 million per year. Honor the sacrifice of America’s heroes and give hope to the bearers of their legacy.
