The Marketing & Sales Committee leverages the expertise and experience of industry marketing and communications professionals to advance the interests of our members through collaboration and development of resources and programs that reflect our collective values, strengthen the industry, benefit customers, increase sales and support robust growth.
2022 Focus: Collateral for Employee Recruiting/Retention
The committee is working with the TRSA Human Resources Committee to develop a recruiting resource toolkit with templates, posters, etc. that linen and uniform services can customize. Content will be guided by a survey of the industry ascertaining best practices such as techniques for retaining employees and promoting job openings. This existing view of best practices will guide creation of new tools to make recruiting and retention more successful. Videos will educate the public on the industry and why it is a great place to work for salaried and hourly employees.
Market Recovery and Expansion Research
This project identifies views, desires and expectations about linen, uniform and facility services among decision-makers in industries that use them, as well as gauging perceptions of industry customers’ customers (consumers). The research aims to foster messaging and resources for TRSA member company use and create targeted, regional advertising and outreach to support such marketing. Members will use findings to promote their companies as the project draws attention to the industry. Members will learn about promotional concepts and tactics through presentations, webinars and reports.
Marketing & Sales Summit
The committee brainstorms program content for this professional development and networking event. It provides real-world solutions for top-line growth thanks to advice from objective-oriented presentations by linen, uniform and facility services industry veterans, technology experts and consultants working in B2B (business-to-business) marketing. The 2022 Summit is scheduled Oct. 25-26 in Tampa, FL.
The committee pursues publicity opportunities for the industry as a whole, creating campaigns that focus on common ground between laundries specializing in various markets (F&B, healthcare, hospitality, industrial). Campaigns emphasize environmental (Earth Day, Clean Green) and economic benefits of outsourcing.
