ABS France, a division of ABS Laundry Business Solutions, a software provider based in Boxtel, the Netherlands, recently announced the acquisition of ORDEIP, a French software company mainly serving hospital laundries across France, according to a news release. The acquisition will enable ABS France, founded in 2015, to continue expansion efforts nationwide.

“Deployed in a significant number of independent laundries and mostly inter-hospital laundries all over France, the PGIO2016 solution developed by ORDEIP ideally complements our current offer (ing) based on our ABSSolute ERP (enterprise resource planning),” said Anne de Boer, founder of ABS Group and CEO of ABS France. “This acquisition also allows ABS France to strengthen their team and improve the quality of services provided to its French clients, in terms of project management and integration of solutions.”

The merger took effect on April 1 when ABS France acquired ORDEIP’s activities, including software, contracts in progress and the company’s staff, based in Rouen, France. Those offices will continue operating, the release said, in addition to the ABS France head office in Lyon.

The two managing partners of ORDEIP applauded the move by ABS, noting that, “We are delighted with this opportunity to join the ABS group, the world leader in industrial laundry business solutions, its development in France and around the world. Within ABS France, our team will now evolve into an international organization of more than 130 people and use new methods and tools that will directly benefit our customers and contribute to our development. ABS is also very dynamic in the integration of UHF RFID technology.” Click here for details.

Founded in 1987, ABS is also a TRSA associate member, with U.S. offices based in Tucker, GA. The company currently operates on five continents. In January, ABS Japan was launched in Tokyo.
