Textile Services magazine recently completed a readership survey of its July issue. The magazine staff partnered with Signet Research Inc. on the survey known as the AdStudy®, which asked readers a series of questions about content and advertising.

A total of 137 readers completed the survey. Signet Research, Englewood, NJ, is currently analyzing the findings. Soon it will distribute the survey data in customized reports that Textile Services will mail to each company that ran a display ad in July’s issue.

To encourage respondents to complete the survey, Textile Services offered an incentive in the form of a blind drawing for a $500 gift card. The winner of this year’s drawing, which was conducted by Signet, was Dave Beavers, chief engineer at the Texas Medical Center Hospital Laundry in Houston. Congratulations Dave!

For this survey, Textile Services also added a second incentive in the form of a charitable donation of $20 for each respondent to the Folds of Honor Foundation, a not-for-profit group that provides scholarships and other assistance to the families of fallen or wounded U.S. service personnel. With 137 respondents, the total donation to Folds of Honor comes to $2,740.

Textile Services Sr. Editor Jack Morgan said the feedback from the survey will help staff and advertisers better serve readers. “I’d like to personally thank everyone who responded to our survey of July’s issue,” Morgan said. “These results will help us make Textile Services a stronger publication. At the same time, we helped raise some money for a worthy cause. Everyone who participated in the survey should feel good about that.”
