AmeriPride Services Inc. recently announced the acquisition of A&D Linen’s textile service business in Atlanta, according to a news release.

As of Feb. 15, 2015, AmeriPride began servicing the new accounts out of its Watkinsville, GA, branch, under the direction of General Manager Joey Wilson.

“This is a positive development for the branch and our customers,” said John Sutherland, sr. vice president of U.S. Operations at AmeriPride. “Our Watkinsville production facility has the capacity and resources to take on the additional volume, and we are looking forward to introducing new products, services and digital tools to our new customers.” Sutherland added that he expects a “smooth and seamless transition” to bringing the new customers into the AmeriPride textile service program.

The purchase doesn’t include A&D’s dry-cleaning and textile-manufacturing operations. However, AmeriPride did acquire some equipment from the company and retained a number of A&D staff.

Specifics of the financial aspects of the agreement weren't disclosed. Click here for details.
