Apparel’s Top 50 Dives into Social Media
Apparel magazine recently re-released its report on the Top 50 most profitable apparel companies in 2014, with a twist. This time, the magazine ranked these 50 companies according to social media standing on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.
Textile services operator and supplier companies mentioned in the report include Cintas Corp., Mason, OH; UniFirst Corp., Wilmington, MA; G&K Services Inc., Minnetonka, MN; Superior Uniform Group, Seminole, FL; and VF Corp., Greensboro, NC. According to the report, companies without a social media strategy will see market share erode. U.S. consumers, for example, spend 7.4 hours staring at screens daily, which breaks down to 147 minutes spent watching TV, 103 minutes in front of a computer,151 minutes on a smart phone and 43 minutes with a tablet.
