Aramark Acquires a Pair of Industrial Operators

Aramark Uniform & Career Apparel, Burbank, CA, recently added to its industrial portfolio with the acquisition of two companies in the Northeast United States, according to a news release from James Gutheim & Associates Inc., Encino, CA, which assisted in the sales.

Iron City Workplace Services, Pittsburgh, recently was sold to Aramark Uniform and Career Apparel. Aramark also bought Nu-Gent Uniform Service, Massapequa, NY, the release said.

Aramark has been active in mergers and acquisitions recently. The company announced on Oct. 16 that it’s acquiring AmeriPride Services Inc. for $1 billion, or a net purchase of $850 million after adjusting for the value of anticipated tax benefits, according to a news release. AmeriPride, based in Minnetonka, MN, has commercial laundry operations across much of the U.S. and Canada with annual revenues of roughly $600 million. To read more about this merger, click here.
