Aussie Laundry Aids Homeless with Showers, Jobs

Orange Sky laundry services, an Australian commercial launderer, recently announced plans to expand an outreach effort in the capital city of Canberra that includes laundering homeless people’s garments and offering them showers and changing facilities delivered by a specially fitted company van.

The program, backed by more than 70 volunteers and a $50,000 grant, also includes job training and work opportunities for homeless people in Orange Sky laundry facilities, according to news reports. Click here for details.
