G.A. Braun Inc., Syracuse, NY, recently received a U.S. patent for the company’s Industrial Washer Door Locking Mechanism and System that’s used on its Advantage Tilting Side Loader® Washer/Extractor, according to a news release.

“We are very excited about this new product, and the award of this patent,” said President Joe Gudenburr of Braun. “Our TEAM (emphasis in original) has worked very hard to make certain that we addressed the desires of our clients and, in so doing, provided them with a solution that is unmatched for safety and reliability.”

The machine was unveiled at the 2015 Clean Show and was shown again at the June 5-8 Clean Show in Las Vegas. Operators in attendance remarked on its durability, ease of use and safety, the release said. Those comments echo those heard from operators who’ve already placed this washer/extractor in their plants.

Braun’s exclusive solution is a Class / Category 3 rated / monitored safety solution. It ensures that end users can’t operate the machine in an unsafe condition due to a failure to properly latch and secure the cylinder doors.

Braun also is pursuing a second safety patent on this machine, the release said. For more information on this technology, go to www.gabraun.com
