CDC Releases Guidance on Isolation Gowns

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently issued guidance for healthcare professionals on optimizing the supply of isolation gowns. The update has been added to TRSA’s online Coronavirus Resource Center at www.trsa.org/covid19.

The CDC document offers a series of strategies or options for optimizing supplies of isolation gowns  healthcare settings when there is limited supply. The CDC includes strategies for when there will be expected periods of temporary isolation gown shortages as well as when there aren’t any gowns available.

Additionally, several updates have been made to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section. TRSA will continue to update the FAQs section as questions are submitted from members of the linen, uniform and facility services industry.
