Cintas Exec Earns Spot on Top CEO List
Scott Farmer, CEO of Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, recently was named to a list of top CEOs by the investment news website 24/7 Wall St., according to news reports.
The website’s researchers reviewed the records of S&P 500 companies to determine their rankings. The list was based on those companies that generated stock returns that exceeded the S&P 500 index over the last three years and in 2016. It also ranked CEOs who had led their companies over that three-year period.
Using those criteria, the website developed its list of 15 top companies, including Cintas, which ranked 11th on the list. The company’s three-year stock price change was 97%; its one-year stock-price change was 26%. Farmer has served as Cintas’ CEO since July 2003.
Other executives on the list included companies engaged in areas ranging from healthcare to technology, aerospace, airlines and cosmetics.
The only female CEO on the list was Mary Dillon, at No. 4, with Ulta Beauty. Her company’s three-year stock price rose 173% and the one-year stock price change was 39%. Dillon has served as CEO since 2013.
Probably the best known executive on the list was Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. His company’s three-year stock price rose 118% and its one-year change was up 10%. He came in 9th place on the list. Zuckerberg has served as CEO since 2004.
