Cintas Goes Mobile to Power Operations
A recent blog post detailed how TRSA operator member Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, uses mobile technology to power its uniform rental business.
The first step in this strategy is CoPilot – an app that will provide 6,500 rental division SSRs (sales service representatives) with delivery route information and access to tools for verifying truck loads, maintaining orders, generating invoices and more. Based on the initial success of CoPilot, numerous other employee-facing apps are scheduled for development, according to the article. The company is currently working on two customer-facing apps, MyCintas and MyGarments, which will allow customers to place, manage and keep track of orders and garments from their mobile devices.
“Our rental business has been dramatically enhanced by the rollout of these powerful apps,” said Russ Johnson, Cintas’ enterprise architect. “SSRs can now be more proactive and knowledgeable in their customer interactions, and we can arm them with the right information to do so. With the help of our partners – Propelics, Appcelerator and SAP – we lead the uniform industry with innovative technologies to help our customers get Ready for the Workday™.”
