Cintas Corp. recently was named as one of America’s leading companies for veterans, according to a poll of Fortune 1,000 companies and related research recently published by U.S. Veterans Magazine.

The study, issued on Aug. 17, was dubbed “Best of the Best 2015.” It includes organizations in numerous categories such as companies, educational institutions, government agencies, and veteran-owned business organizations (VBOs) and service-disabled veteran-owned business organizations (SDVBOs).

Cintas appeared on a list with more than 100 veteran-friendly companies. These ranged from General Motors to Amazon.com, Wells Fargo & Co. and others in an array of service and manufacturing sectors.

Karin Sweet, a researcher with DiversityComm Inc., publisher of U.S. Veterans Magazine, told Textile Services Weekly that her company sends e-mails to a select group of companies and other organizations asking them to fill out a survey that asks questions about their policies toward veterans. “In short, companies and schools provide us with their veteran initiatives and that information is included with our research team’s data they compile independently,” said Sweet.
