Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, recently manufactured new uniforms for Southwest Airlines, the first redesign in two decades for the Dallas-based carrier. More than 42,000 flight attendents, gate agents and ramp workers will begin wearing the new uniforms on June 18, according to media reports.

The new uniforms feature 75 separate items, which will allow the employees to mix and match pieces. The color scheme for the outfits will be bold blue, warm red and summit silver. The uniforms were manufactured by Cintas using factories in Asia, the report noted.

Southwest is spending $25 million on the new design, which reflects the airlines’ new heart logo, according to the article. To read the full report, click here.
