Cintas Upgrades Tech at Ontario, CA, Plant

Cintas Corp. recently unveiled its newly upgraded building and automatic garment sorting system at its Ontario, CA, facility, according to local media reports. The project has been in the works for five years, and it’s the first upgrade to the location since it opened in 1997, according to the report.

The new technology allows for pieces of clothing to correspond with a specific person by means of a barcode, the report said. The automated system uses a central console that helps coordinate the correct processing.

“This technology that we’ve recently installed will help us to better service our customers and create better opportunities for our partners and a prosperous future for everybody here today,” said GM Jim Reeder. “It is with great pride that I mention that this transition took place without any of our employee partners being displaced from Cintas in the process.”

The announcement was attended by city officials, including Mayor Paul Leon. To read more, click here.
