Dickies Licenses Workwear Operations in India

Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Co., Fort Worth, TX, recently signed an exclusive licensing agreement with ID Overseas Private Limited, according to a news release. According to the terms of the 10-year licensing agreement, Dickies® workwear products will be authorized for sale in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

"We're proud to meet the needs of workers worldwide with a full suite of apparel solutions," said Williamson-Dickie Chairman and CEO Philip Williamson. "Adding this licensing agreement with ID Overseas is another example of our targeted, smart growth strategy for the global business."

The new licensing agreement allows for a concentrated focus on business growth in the region and provides enhanced distribution network support. Products and services available will include Dickies brand offerings, including but not limited to Dickies, Dickies FR (flame-resistant protective clothing) and Dickies footwear. Production and distribution in the region is expected to begin in January 2015.
