Dober, Woodridge, IL, recently agreed to purchase the assets of the HaloKlear product line from HaloSource, Bothell, WA, according to a news release. These assets primarily focus on “green” biopolymers used to remove contaminants from water generated within several markets including construction, mining, environmental remediation, industrial, and oil and gas.

“The Dober team is excited to add to our biopolymer offerings by adding the HaloKlear technology,” said CEO John G. Dobrez. “These market-leading chitosan (biopolymers) technologies will complement our plant-based biopolymers that we have been producing for over 25 years. Our GreenFloc division is ecstatic to have these offerings added to their product profile as it helps our quest to provide the water treatment industry with solutions to help create cleaner water for a more sustainable future.”

Dober is the parent company of TRSA member Spindle, a provider of operations management software for institutional and industrial businesses. On Sept. 9, 2010, Dober sold its laundry chemical business to Ecolab. Dober and Ecolab work together as partners in many areas, but Ecolab is now the exclusive distributor of Spindle Technologies Utility Module and Chemwatch software.
