Doritex Corp., Alden, NY, has qualified for the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP).

SHARP is OSHA’s official recognition for employers that have eliminated hazards and established effective safety and health management programs. These companies also have maintained injury rates below national averages. Acceptance into the SHARP initiative begins at the company’s request. The program is designed for companies with fewer than 250 employees at a location and fewer than 500 companywide.

“This multiyear initiative demonstrates our commitment to the health and safety of our co-workers and community,” the company said in a news release.

Located near Buffalo, Doritex is the only independently owned and operated uniform rental company in its region of Western New York.
