Johnson Service Group, a leading linen, uniform and facility services provider in the United Kingdom, recently named Peter Egan – who currently oversees the company’s Johnsons Apparelmaster workwear business – to succeed Chris Sander, the company’s retiring CEO.

JSG has said that Sander will stay with the group through 2018 in order to help ensure a smooth leadership handoff, according to news reports. Egan, 45, has more than 25 years’ experience in the textile rental business. He joined JSG in 1998 and has served since 2014 as managing director of the company’s rental workwear operations. He’s played a key role in developing Johnsons Apparelmaster’s growth strategy, while also contributing to the company’s broader strategic-planning efforts.

“Following Chris’ decision to retire, the board is delighted to announce Peter Egan as his successor,” said JSG Chairman Paul Moody. “We anticipate a smooth, well-managed and effective transition process between Chris and Peter during the coming year.”

Sander endorsed the board’s choice as well. “Peter is an enormously talented leader and this appointment recognizes his significant contribution to the development of the group to date,” Sander said. “The board is confident in his ability to lead JSG through its next stage of growth as we focus on continuing to build long-term shareholder value.” Click here for details.
