Leonard Automatics Inc., Denver, NC, recently announced the promotion of Mark Farnsworth to plant manager, according to a news release.

Mark Farnsworth

Farnsworth has spent the last two years as the lead project manager in charge of fully managing customer orders at Leonard Automatics. This role required him to work closely with the Leonard sales team and their customer base. The experience allowed Farnsworth to be involved with the entire life cycle of equipment builds at Leonard – from the initial sales order, to purchasing, engineering, production, shipping, installation and fulfillment of the project.

“The hands-on knowledge that Mark gained during his time as project manager provided him with the tools and experience to start his new role as our plant manager, and we are excited to have him on our team!” said Scott Abernethy, general manager.

Farnsworth spent 20 years as chief engineer with Seneca Foods in Rochester, MN, running unlimited horsepower boilers, water feed systems and compressors … a job that was 24-7. Prior to that role, Farnsworth served in the U.S. Navy for six years working as a gas turbine specialist.

“Mark brings a continuous improvement mentality, and he is process driven, has excellent attention to detail and possesses the interpersonal skills to manage a diverse workforce,” said Greg Watson, president.

Farnsworth is married and enjoys the outdoors, trout fishing, and most of all his six children and four grandchildren.
